New Year 2025: Time for Ambition, Innovation, and Giving Back

As we step into a new year, I want to take a moment to wish each one of you a joyous and prosperous 2025. Your support and encouragement over the past year have been a source of immense motivation for me, and I’m deeply grateful to have you as part of this journey.

Reflecting on My Growth

2024 was a year of transformation and milestones for me, both professionally and personally. Balancing my role as a software engineer and exploring the exciting world of freelancing has been a fulfilling yet challenging experience. One memorable challenge was delivering a complete website overhaul for a client on a tight deadline—it tested my ability to manage time and expectations. On the other hand, a significant success came when a long-term client doubled their project size after appreciating the value I brought to their business.

In my job, I delved deeper into advanced technologies, honed my expertise in PHP, WordPress, ReactJS, and project management, and contributed to impactful projects. Freelancing, on the other hand, allowed me to connect with clients from diverse industries, solve unique problems, and expand my skill set beyond my comfort zone.

One of my proudest achievements this year was launching a WordPress plugin, “Auto Bulk Email Notifications (Aben),” a personal project that pushed my boundaries as a developer and reminded me of the joys of building solutions from scratch. Since new plugin submissions to WordPress.org are currently disabled, I invite you to download Aben directly from the website and share your feedback. Your insights will help me improve the plugin and make it even more valuable for its users.

Through it all, I’ve learned that growth isn’t just about technical skills—it’s about adaptability, resilience, and the willingness to embrace change.

Resolutions for 2025

As I look ahead, I’ve set some ambitious yet exciting resolutions for the year:

1. Master New Technologies: AI, machine learning, and blockchain are rapidly reshaping industries. This year, I aim to dive deeper into these areas and explore their integration into web development.
2. Expand My Freelancing Horizons: I want to collaborate on more international projects, build a stronger portfolio, and deliver solutions that make a difference.
3. Aben Upgrade: One of my top priorities is to enhance Aben, my WordPress plugin. I plan to add new features such as event email notifications, Google Ad integration, and other functionalities that will provide greater value to its users.
4. More WordPress Contributions: This year, I aim to contribute more to the WordPress community by creating resources like the fastest single-page WooCommerce theme. This theme will be optimized for speed, user experience, and scalability, and I’m excited to share it with fellow developers and store owners.
5. Give Back to the Community: Whether through mentoring aspiring developers or contributing to open-source projects, I want to share knowledge and support others in their journeys.
6. Stay Balanced: While growth is important, so is mental well-being. I resolve to create a better work-life balance and dedicate time to my family and hobbies.
